Of Thailand’s major resorts, Krabi is the cleanest and safest for families, and is also one of Thailand’s most diverse places to spend time. Krabi is a fairly large area that is always sweaty hot, so it’s good to think ahead about what you can and want to do there. Krabi has something to do with the youngest of families as well as teenagers, and there are all kinds of hobbies and pastimes at lower prices than in Europe.
The bad thing about Krabi is that many great, family-friendly places are within walking distance of Krabi town, Ao Nang, and the places where vacationers stay and spend their time in Krabi. For example, if a family of four wants to leave several tens of kilometers from the accommodation, you may want to arrange a taxi ride or, if there are more than four passengers, a minibus.
Krabi is an interesting place for just normal things, where you can take boat trips, do something on the beach, visit the city of Krabi and everything else. It’s not necessary to do something expensive or time-consuming there, and if you’re going on an adventure there, you might want to wait a few days to get used to the time difference and to get used to the heat a bit. The best time to do anything is in the morning, and the midday heat is definitely worth avoiding.
Go Kart, or go-karting, is reasonably priced in Thailand compared to Europe, and one of the easiest places to visit for families is the Krabi Kart Speedway between Ao Nang and the city of Krabi . You can go there yourself, and there is also a free shuttle from Ao Nang for groups buying at least two tickets. Tickets are easy to buy in Ao Nang, and you can also get tickets and information on go-karting from travel agencies in Krabi Town and elsewhere. There are a variety of minivans with engines from 270 to 560cc, and also minivans for two, where small children can get up to speed with an adult. With a small car you can drive for 800 baht, or a little over 20 euros for 10 minutes. There is also paintball, archery and other pastimes in the same place, and it’s a pretty versatile place that’s open from 9am to 6pm. Tickets can be purchased not only from travel agencies and stalls but also on site and in advance even from Krabi Trek .
Krabi Fun Park
If you want to leave an hour or an hour and a half away from both Ao Nang and the city of Krabi, Krabi Fun Park is a place to visit where children and young people alike will enjoy themselves. This is a place where you can test your skills and strengths in climbing, and in the park you can progress in different ways. This is not an adventure park for very young children, but to get here you have to be 120 cents or longer. There are two tracks, medium and difficult, and for example, the medium is a kilometer long, it has 21 different stages and it takes an hour to travel. The difficult track is a mile and a half long, takes about an hour and a half, and must be 140 cents long to reach it. The adventure park also has half-day packages that include lunch.
The price will be going through the track about 800 baht and a half-day package costs about 2000 baht. The park is open from 9 am to 5 pm.
Treetop Adventure Park
Ao Luek, also known as Ao Luk, is an area about 45 kilometers from the city of Krabi with a huge variety of entertainment and recreational opportunities. It’s, in fact, such a diverse place to go about pastimes that it might be a notable place to spend your nights.
One of Ao Luek’s attractions is the adventure park located in this area of its jungles. The adventure park is at the level of the tops of the trees, where usually only birds and monkeys thrive, and the views are stunning. Suspension bridges can be walked by almost any age if they are just in good physical condition, but this is not a suitable place for high-altitude people. The front page of the website has pictures that illustrate what it’s like to be there.
The adventure park ticket includes transportation from almost any part of Krabi, as well as lunch, fruit, insurance and aids. There are two rounds, one is applied for from 8 am to 9 am and the other from 11 am to 12 noon. The price for everyone is 1700 baht, but if you arrange your own transport, you get a package for 1400 baht.
The place is open from 9 am to 5 pm, and you can go there by yourself, so you can get around the park at a small discount. If you are leaving the adventure park from anywhere other than Ao Luek, it is best to take a full price package. A round starting at 10am is better than a round starting at 1pm, as 10am is not yet as hot as one.

The caves of Ao Luek
Ao Luek is a vast area that is the real jungle of the tropics, but as a whole it is in many ways an awkward place to explore. So it’s worth exploring certain places there, and not going astray there without a plan or goal.
Another great place to visit for families in addition to the adventure park in Ao Luek are its caves, which are in a place called Tham Phi Hua To, also known as Pee Hua Toe. You usually go there by long tail boat, and the best thing to do here is to head here for an organized trip. Simply buy a trip for the whole family through the travel agency, accommodation, someone’s booth selling trips and excursions, or the internet, which takes up most of the daylight. If you prefer to get a ticket online, for example, Viator sells tickets for various excursions, including kayaking.
